The Mint Julep, beloved of the southern states of America and made famous by the Kentucky Derby, is traditionally served in these metal cups, known as Julep tins. The idea is to hold the drink by the flared base of the cup to prevent the heat of your hand, warming the drink. A julep is made with lots of crushed ice, so a beautiful frosted bloom forms on the outside of the cup which is recreated here by hand-sanding the outer surface. The cups are then handpainted with an outline design in a pewter coloured finish and can be personalised around the base at no extra cost.
List price is for 1 julep tin, boxed as shown.
