This intricately hand painted bedside carafe with a design inspired by the balcony scene from Shakespeare's tragic, love story, Romeo and Juliet.
This sturdy carafe is hand-painted with the pair of lovers , surrounded by rose vines and two quotes from the play.
On the front, 'But, soft what light through yonder window breaks'.
On the back, 'What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet'.
The carafe stands approximately 19cm high and holds a litre of water whilst the little glass measures just under 10cm and holds 230ml. Both pieces are made from sturdy soda lime glass.
